Landlord Strategy Assessment

Ten statements, no score that tells you what to do. The output is a summary of what you just said about yourself — which is usually more useful than a recommendation.

1. Managing this property feels like a burden rather than a routine.
2. I would be relieved if I no longer had to handle tenant matters.
3. The income from this property matters to my monthly finances.
4. I've thought seriously about what I'd do with the proceeds if I sold.
5. I want to remain invested in real estate in some form.
6. My family situation or health makes simplifying appealing.
7. I'm concerned about what my heirs would face if they inherited this property.
8. I'd be comfortable moving quickly if a transaction had strict deadlines.
9. I have a CPA I'd involve before making any decision.
10. I feel confident I know what this property is actually earning me.

Goals first, numbers second, transactions last.

Most owners get this backwards. Deciding what you want makes every other question easier to answer.
